Women’s History Month at Buffalo Lodging Associates

Buffalo Lodging is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive working environment, one that reflects the composition of our local communities, and where we take pride in engaging with team members of varying backgrounds and experiences.  During the month of March, we would like to celebrate Women’s History Month with all of you!

Every March in the United States, we celebrate the achievements and history of women as part of Women’s History Month.  Since the first Women’s History Week in 1978, other countries have joined the US in honoring women and their contributions to history and culture. Saturday, March 8 was International Women’s Day.  This day is a global observation celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

Each year in our country, the National Women’s History Alliance chooses a theme for Women’s History Month.   This year the 2025 theme is “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating and Inspiring Generations.”  This theme celebrates the collective strength and influence of women who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship, and leadership.  Through their efforts, they have served as an inspiration for all generations – both past and present.

During this special month, we would like to recognize the contributions and accomplishments of all the women that work at Buffalo Lodging.  And although there are many, BLA would like to spotlight that we have 41 women in our company that in 2025 will be celebrating 20 years and beyond of working for BLA.

If we think of the thousands of people that these women have touched in these 20 years + ; serving our guests, training and mentoring co-workers, inspiring other generations with their hard work and their dedication to the success of our company, the numbers will surprise us.

On behalf of all of us at Buffalo Lodging, we are so thankful for all you have done and continue to do.  Below are 17 of the 41 women that have 20+ years of service at BLA:
