As the Director of Construction and Renovation, Eric leads all aspects of hotel construction, renovations, and design. His responsibilities include initial planning and budgeting, hiring and managing architects and interior designers, coordinating with brand representatives to ensure projects comply with brand standards, and leading Buffalo Lodging’s in-house design and project management team.
Prior to his current role, Eric joined Buffalo Lodging’s parent company Benderson Development in 2012, beginning as a Superintendent before advancing to Project Manager. During his tenure with Benderson Development, Eric led several high-profile retail and hotel projects, including new hotel builds such as Residence Inn Buffalo, two Home2 Suites in Orlando, Residence Inn Rochester, TownePlace Suites in Albany, NY, and over 20 renovation projects. His expertise in navigating complex hotel construction logistics, coordinating with vendors, and adhering to brand standards continues to be instrumental in the successful execution of projects and the ongoing growth of Buffalo Lodging.
Eric holds a Master of Engineering degree in Construction & Engineering Management from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Outside of work, Eric cherishes spending quality time with his wife and three kids, golfing, travel, and the Buffalo Bills.
